How do you calculate the uncertainty of an average of a set of results if each individual result has its own raw uncertainty? For chemistry we were required to calculate the average temperature from a set of four values for temperature. The uncertainty for the individual measurements is ± 0.1 K. How can I calculate the uncertainty of the calculated average?
