Answer to Question #56060 in General Chemistry for sue

Question #56060
Write the net ionic equation to show the formation of a precipitate (insoluble salt) when the following solutions are mixed. Write noreaction if there is no precipitate.

FeCl3(aq) and NH4(NO)3(aq)

Let's first write the chemical dissociation processes:
FeCl3(aq) = Fe3+(aq) + 3Cl-(aq)
NH4(NO)3(aq) = NH4+(aq) + 3NO3-(aq)
When solutions are mixed no precipitate formed, due to the solubility of all the reaction products. So there's no chemical reaction between them, because Fe(NO3)3 and NH4Cl are soluble.
