C3H8 + 5O2 = 3CO2 + 4H2O

According to the above reaction, when 132 g (3 mol * 44 g/mol= 132 g) of CO2 are formed, 72 g (4 mol* 18 g/mol = 72 g) of H2O are formed. We find how many grams of H2O are formed when 26.31 grams of CO2 are formed:

132 g CO2 — 72 g H2O

26,3 g CO2 — X

X = 26,31 * 72 / 132 = 14,35 g H2O
