Nitrogen gas and hydrogen gas are combined in a reaction to produce ammonia. If 6.0 moles of N2 and 6.0 moles of H2 are present in the mixture, which is the limiting reactant?

N2 + 3H2 = 2NH3

Mole ratio N2 to H2 is 1 : 3

So, in order for 6.0 mol of N2 to react 6.0 * 3 = 18.0 mol of H2 required

We have only 6.0, so, H2 – limiting
