Answer to Question #320117 in General Chemistry for Kenneth

Question #320117

At 450°C ,the Kp for the reaction N2(g)+ 3 H2(g) 2NH3(g) is 4.5 x 10-5 . For each mixture listed, indicate whether the mixture is at equilibrium at 450°C. If it is not at equilibrium, indicate the direction (toward product or toward reactants) in which the mixture must shift to achieve equilibrium.

For the Haber process, N2 (g) + 3H2 (g) ⇔ 2NH3, Kp=1.45 x 10-5 at 500° C.In an equilibrium mixture of the three gases, the partial pressure of H2 is 0.928 atm and that of N2 is 0.432 atm.
