1. What physical and chemical changes in our everyday life that are obviously accompanied by energy change? Give three examples.
2. How do heat and work affect a system?
1)Examples of chemical changes are burning, cooking, rusting, and rotting. Examples of physical changes are boiling, melting, freezing, and shredding. Many physical changes are reversible, if sufficient energy is supplied. The only way to reverse a chemical change is via another chemical reaction.
2)When heat is added to a system, the temperature of substances in the system increases while Work changes the amount of mechanical and internal energy possessed by objects. When work is done on a system or object, energy is added to it.
