Identify all possible products when the tripeptide Ala–Ala–Val undergoes partial hydrolysis
Protein hydrolysis is a process in which proteins are breakdown into small peptides and free amino acids. Proteins in a solution of strong acid or strong base is heated the peptide bonds present in between the proteins are hydrolyzed which produces free amino acids. In complete hydrolysis all peptide bonds present in between the proteins or peptides are broken and releases free amino acids. In partial hydrolysis only some of the peptide bonds will broken which releases both free amino acids and small peptides.
