What would you expect to a substance melting to a liquid phase or subliming to gas at 1 atm and room temperature?
Substances can change phase - often because of a temperature change. At low temperatures, most substances are solid; as the temperature increases, they become liquid; at higher temperatures still, they become gaseous. The answer is that the melting point of a substance at 1 atm and at room temperature is also at its triple point.
