 Carbonic acid (H2CO3) breaks down to produce water and a gas. Gas tests reveal that the gas turns limewater cloudy, and extinguishes candle flames.

When carbonic acid breaks don it gives a gas and water.Since gas extinguishes fire it may be carbon dioxide.

So gas name is carbondioxide
