The equation for fermentation of ethanol is

C6H12O6(aq)"\\to" 2C2H5OH(aq) + 2CO2(g)

Molar mass of glucose= 180

Molar mass of ethanol = 46

One mole of glucose gives 2 moles of ethanol.

Therefore, 180g of glucose yields 92g of ethanol.

Mass of ethanol produced=(987.1÷180) × 92 = 504.52g
