CCL4+HF=CCl2F2 + 2HCl

Carbon tetrachloride react with hydrogen fluoride to produce difluorodichloromethane and hydrogen chloride.

The reaction proceeds in the presence of Lewis acids, under pressure in the liquid phase at a temperature of 50-100°C or in the gas phase 200-430°C
