Preparing a 0.10M NaOH solution
Calculate the number of grams NaOH needed to prepare 250 mL of 0.1M NaOH
solution. Weigh this amount of NaOH in a 50 mL beaker and dissolve with a little
amount of distilled water. Transfer this into a clean and dry 250 mL volumetric flask.
Add distilled water up to the mark and swirl the flask gently to mix thoroughly.
Transfer this solution into a clean and dry plastic bottle. Label it properly and
store it in your locker. This will be used for the experiment on Acid-Base Titration.
Preparing a 0.10M NaOH solution
Grams of NaOH = _______________
Calculation:
"250ml = 0.250litres"
Moles of NaOH "= 0.250\u00d7 0.1= 0.0250moles"
Molar Mass of "NaOH =40"
Mass of NaOH "= 40\u00d70.0250=1.0grams"
