Question #261872

While Tc-99m has a half-life of 6.01 hours, its decay product has a half-life of 213,000 years.  While the medical community considers it to be reasonably safe, within the limits of testing, does this make sense considering both chemical and biological principles?

Yes, it is safe because it doesn't not stay in the body long because it's half life is just 6 hrs. Radioactive nuclei leaves the body when it has not yet considerably decayed.Due to this, it has not given up any activity.
