The balanced equation is,

2Na(s)+Cl2(g)2NaCl(s).2Na(s)+Cl_2(g) → 2NaCl(s) .


Moles of sodium =7.8923=0.34moles=\frac{7.89}{23}=0.34moles


Mass of NaCl=0.34×58.44=19.87grams=0.34× 58.44 =19.87grams
