To calculate the amount of heat required we use the following equation

Q=mCV"\\Delta"T

Where ,Q=Amount of heat required

m=Mass of substance

"\\Delta"T=change in temperature ( T2-T1)

Cv=Specific heat capacity

Now from the data given:-

Mass of silver=125g=0.125kg. (1kg=1000g)

Initial temperature =0°C=273K

Final temperature =100°C=373K

Specific heat capacity of silver =235J/kg/K

Therefore putting all the values into the equation :-

Q=0.125kg×235J/kg/K ×(373-273)K

=2937.5J(Heat required)

So, the heat required to raise the temperature of silver is 2937.5J.
