design a method to determine the volume of gas when fuels are combusted
From the Gas laws, it is known that each mole of gas occupies 22.4 liters at standard temperature and pressure.
A fuel such as any hydrocarbon such as CXHYwhen combusted produces X moles of Carbon dioxide after each mole of the hydrocarbon combustion. So the initial mass of the fuel is measured. After combustion the final mass of the fuel is measured.
so for each mole of fuel X moles of CO2 will be produced
