The solubility of a compound in water is 6.8g/100ml at 25C. Calculate the amount of water required to crystallise 10g of the compound. If the pure compound is collected at 25°c what is the maximum possible yield percent?
For 6.8 g 100 mL water required
For 10 g = (100×10)/6.8 mL water
Crystallization won't occur at 25⁰C since all amount ( i.e.10g )will remain dissolved
