An electron jump in a hydrogen atom from n=5 to n=2 produces a violet spectral line with a wavelength of 434nm. if an electron in a helium atom makes the same jump what will it do
If an electron jumps from higher energy level to lower energy level, it releases energy which is known as emission of energy. Note that the electron can absorb or emit only that much amount energy which is equal to energy difference between two levels.
