The reaction between Co and Cl2to produce CoCl3

 is given by,

 2Co   +      3Cl2→       2CoCl3

2 mol            3 mol          2 mol

117.86 g      212.73 g     330.58 g

Now from the above balanced chemical reaction

Let Co be completely consumed in the reaction,

since 117.86 g of Co produces =330.58 g of CoCl3

So 1 g of Co produces ="\\frac{330.58}{117.86} g" Of CoCl3

Hence 34.00g of Co will produce :-

"=\\frac{34.00\u00d7330.58}{117.86} g" of CoCl3

="95.36g" of CoCl3

Hence, the amount of CoCl3 formed would be 95.36gram
