Let initial pressure be P1P_1


and Volume of Vessel v2=4.5Lv_2=4.5L

pressure of vessel P2=0.98atmP_2=0.98 atm


Using Boyle's law we have,

P1V1=P2V2P_1V_1=P_2V_2


P1×0.5=0.98×4.5P1=8.82atmP_1\times 0.5=0.98\times 4.5\\\Rightarrow P_1=8.82atm
