Al2O3+3Na2CO3 ---> 3Na2O+Al2(CO3)3
If you have 9.56 moles of aluminum oxide. How many moles of sodium oxide could you produce?
Answer=28.68 moles
moles of Al2O3 =9.56 moles
Al2O3 is the limiting reactant since it has less moles as a reactant when we need equal moles of the reactants according to the reaction equation
We use the limiting reactant to calculate the moles of the products formed
Mole ratio of Al2O3 :Na2O =1:3
Hence moles of Na2O formed=9.56*3 = 28.68 moles
