From the equation

C + O2 ----------- CO2

Converting 220mg to g grammes we have 0.22g

Using a mass-mole relationship

If 1 mole of 02 produces 44g of CO2

Then the number of mole of O2 needed to produve 0.22 g of of CO2 is ------- 0.22×1/44

=0.005moles

To calculate the number of moles we use the formula;

No of molecules=no of moles×avogadro's constant

No of molecules of O2 =0.005×6.02×10^23

=3.01×10^21
