To balance the equation Fe(NO3)3 (aq) + (NH4)2S (aq) -- Fe2S3 +NH4NO3

You have to make sure that all the elements are balanced in the rectacnt and the product side.

Thus for this equation to be balanced this should be the result

2Fe(NO3)3 (aq) + 3(NH4)2S (aq)_ Fe2S3 + 6NH4NO3

This therefore ensures that all sides are balanced .

The stoichiometric coefficients are used to show the number of moles of reactants used in the reaction.

In this case the coefficients are 6, 3 and 1,6 respectively
