Solubility product is defined as the product of concentration of ions of an electrolyte raised with the proper power on the concentration term at saturated solution. It is a constant value at particular temperature.

The principle of solubility product state that if any situation the ionic product that is the product of concentration of of ions with proper power is more than the value of solubility product then precipitation starts, if the ionic product is less than the solubility product value then more solute will be soluble in the solution.

If ionic product is equal to the solubility product then the solution is saturated.
