Mgcl2- the formation of magnesium chloride bond occurs when magnesium's valence electrons are donated to the two chloride atoms. The chloride atoms gain the two electrons lost by magnesium to form a magnesium ion and two chloride ions. Mg2+ + CL-1 = MgCL2

Ca2O is an ionic bond formed between Ca, a non-metal element with a metallic ion O, and since it is an oxide, the results are elemental oxygen. Ca+1 + O2- = Ca2O

NaH – Sodium is in the oxidation state of +1. On the other hand, hydrogen is in the oxidation state -1, which results in bonding formed between sodium and hydrogen being a metal hydride. Therefore,

Na+1 + H-1 = NaH
