n = Principal Quantum Number , l = Azimuthal Quantum Number

l=0→ the s-subshell

l=1→ the p-subshell

l=2→ the d-subshell

l=3→ the f-subshell

When,  n =8,    l =1 means p-subshell present here.

The p-subshell can hold total of three orbitals.

The maximum number of electrons = 2×3 = 6 (Answer)
