2C4H10 +13O2 → 10H2O + 8CO2

M(C4H10) = 58.12 g/mol;

M(H2O) = 18.015 g/mol;

n=m/M;

n(C4H10) = (1 g)/(58.12 g/mol) = 0.0172 moles;

Proportion according to the reaction:

2 moles — 10 moles

0.0172 moles — x moles

x = 0.086 moles

m = n×M;

m(H2O) = 0.086 moles ×18.015 g/mol = 1.55 g

Answer: 1.55 g
