The label of a reagent bottle in the chemical stockroom was accidently removed during a routine inventory analysis. The bottle contained either AgNO3, CaCl2, or Al2(SO4)3. Design an experiment that would determine the identity of the reagent.

The sample test reagent is added to 3 different test-tubes. To the first testube add HCl, and if a white precipitate is formed the solution is AgNO3. To the second and last testube add cold water. If the test reagent fully dissolves it contains CaCl2 and if partially dissolves it contains Al2(SO4)3.
