A can of cold soda contains dissolved carbon dioxide in it. During the bottling process, it increases the pressure and the amount of carbon dioxide in the liquid. The air inside the can is at a level that is much higher than the air outside it.The gas will also comes out more quickly when a can is warm because carbon dioxide is less soluble in warm liquids. The gas produces more of a push to escape the lower solubility and a can of warm soda goes flat more quickly compared to a can of cold soda.
