I would really appreciate if you could mention names of standard books available online to look up for these concepts.
Definitive hosts are hosts in which an organism attains sexual maturity usually followed by sexual reproduction(fertilisation). (from Parasitology: A Conceptual Approach
By Eric Loker, Bruce Hofkin)

Anophles is a definitive host of plasmodium in which the fertilisation is occuring. But I don't understand what is meant by sexual maturity? It would be great if you could explain the determination of definitive host depending on the sexual maturity of a parasite with example.
Are the following definirions correct?
Outbreeding or Outcrossing is the mating between two individuals of a breed but different varieties/sub-varieties.

Crossbreeding is the mating between two individuals of different breed (could be intraspecific or interspecific as well).
How do we determine that a breed of cattle is a milch breed? What's the parameter in terms of amount milk produced?
What is the differences between the terms Crossbreeding, Outbreeding and Outcrossing?
I will be kind if you could provide authentic citations (e.g. textbooks).
Can peptide and catecholamine hormones, those that act via secondary messenger system produce effect if the hormone receptors on plasma membrane are removed?

An MCQ book says that the hormones will still be able to produce a low effect in target tissues!

I don't think they would.

What do you think and why do you think so?
I was reading about composite fish farming and stumbled upon the dual use of Mahua oilcakes.
It was said that the saponin in mahua oilcake initially acts as a piscicide and then the cakes get detoxified to act as a manure. How do they detoxify? Is it through simple diffusion, as the saponin is lost the oilcakes are said to be detoxified?
