Why the fishes exhibit single circuit circulation

Fishes have single circulation because for blood flow and so that it help the blood to travel from the heart to gills , where it absorb oxygen and release carbon dioxide.It then flows from gills to the organs and tissues and rest of the body.and back to the heart .there is just one circuit in the heart.
