the differences of the type and distribution of hair on your palm, anterior portion and posterior portion of your forearm.
The skin on the palm is thick. The thick skin has an extra layer of skin for protection and does not grow hair compared to the back of the hand, which has a thin layer of skin. The back grows hair, and the nerve endings are closer to the surface making it more sensitive. Furthermore, the palm doesnt have hair follicles for growth of hair compared to other parts of the hand which have hair follicles.
On the other hand, the anterior part of the portion of the forearm has more hair because it has a thicker layer of skin compared to the posterior portion. The posterior portion, on the other hand has less and thinner layers than the anterior portion making it have less hair.
