Multicellular organisms arise in two ways;by cell division or by aggregation of several single cells.

All multicellular organisms use cell division for growth and the maintenance and repair of cells and tissues while for aggregation,the process starts with a single fertilized cell that increasingly divides to form many more cells. In the process, the genome causes the cells specialize through selective gene expression.
