Why malarial concepts called hypothesis?

Malaria evolves as a chronic blood infection by escaping the immune responses directed against a series of antigens that express variable epitopes and/or by selecting parasite populations with distinct polymorphic antigens. Now a hypothesis is an idea or explanation that you then test through study and experimentation. Because till date malarial concepts are being tested hence it is called as hypothesis.
