CO is carbon monoxide which is a molecule of oxide,which consists of one carbon atom and one oxygen atom. It is a colorless gas, is poisonous to humans (joins with hemoglobin in a stable compound and blocking it). Formed as a result of incomplete combustion of organic matter.
