Alison spends the following morning working at her desk and drinks several large glasses of water whilst working. How would the volunme and composition of her urine differ from the previous day?
Urine is a liquid by-product of metabolism in humans and in many other animals. Urine flows from the kidneys through the ureters to the urinary bladder. Kidneys make urine by filtering wastes and extra water from your blood.
As Allison drinks several large glasses of water, body receives excess amount of it. So that kidneys filter it out, together with other products of metabolism. The amount of metabolism products remains as usual, but the amount of water is greater. This means that the amount of urine becomes greater and it is less concentrated.
