Domestication is a sustainable and multigenerational taming of animals by humans. Domestication is applied to a group of animals that are selected. This process is associated with breeding and leads to the formation of specific traits caused by genetic changes. In most cases, domestic animals live only with humans and are not able to survive in a wild natural environment. As a result, the breeding of domesticated animals is controlled by humans for many generations. Taming is associated with the behavioral modification of individual animals. It is not applied to groups and does not lead to the formation of new traits. Taming is a temporal process and it may be considered as the first step of domestication. In this case, animals need to develop a new behavior for living with humans.
