i used to wash my mouth with 70% ethanol and hold it in my mouth for 5 minutes or so. i do it no more but iam concerned about it causing cancer through its metabolite Acetaldehyde.. there ist something strange... i never felt neither the symptoms of excess ethanol nor the symptoms of excess Acetaldehyde, although the mount i used was nearly 30 ml.. but i sprayed it over the upper and lower lip.. could that be because the Ethanol and Acetaldehyde in it evaporate before they reach my mouth or very soon after they land inside my mouth????
