A mutation in a gene has started producing tRNA molecules with 3’ AUC 5’ anticodon, which are then associated with the amino acid valine. What effect would you see in the proteins of this cell?

This new tRNA will bind to the 5’ UAG 3’ codon of the mRNA, one of the stop-codons. This means that this stop codon might be skipped and protein translation will go on. Therefore, the main consequence of such mutation is that some part of newly synthesized proteins will contain additional C-terminal peptides of different length.
