There is three  minimum number of nucleotides per codon needed to encode 20 amino acids.

If now a protein has 66 Amino acids, then the number of RNA nucleotides is given mathematically below:

3 nucleotides=20Amino acids3\ nucleotides = 20 Amino \ acids

?=66amino acids?=66 amino\ acids

66×3=19866\times 3=198

198÷20=9.9 RNA nucleotides198\div20=9.9\ RNA \ nucleotides are involved in the formation of this protein
