Proteins have almost all kinds of availablefunctions in living cells. It includes: - support (structural proteins: keratines, collagen, elastin) -storage of amino acids, which are source for the developmenting embryo (ovalbumin), babies (casein) -transport of other substances (hemoglobin) -coordination of an organism's activities (insulin) - responce of cell to chemical stimuli (receptors) -movement (actin, myosin, cilia) -protection against disease (antibodies) -selective acceleration of chemical reactions (enzymes)
