Yes, reverse osmosis utilizes a partial permeable membrane and osmotic gradient whereby suspended particles as well as bacterial cells are filtered out from the solution. The pressure is applied to the liquid to force it pass to through a filtration membrane and all suspended particles and biological agents are removed out by use of pressure.
