Biomolecules are organic molecules of C, H, N and O, which make up the bodies of living organisms. Glucose (C6H12O6) is a simple sugar and a monomer, which is the precusor molecule for formation of all the other biomolecules. Glucose, together with the other monosaccharides, is therefore the simplest of all biomolecules, even though it looks more complex than some organic molecules like methane (CH4)
