Bacteria have been designed to be adaptive to many places and conditions through features such as; acquired resistance due to change in genetic make-up of the bacterial genome, they react to change in their environment by expressing or repressing the expression of a whole lost of genes and antibiotic resistance such as resistance to penicillin.
