Antimetabolites and antibiotics, alkaloids damage or disrupt DNA, interfere with or alter RNA structure. Antimetabolites may bу pyrimidine or purine compounds etc. Some chemical mutagens interfere with correct DNA replication by inserting themselves into the DNA and distorting the double helix.
