Competitive exclusion is where two individual or species compete for a limited resource in a particular ecological niche. One has to suppress the other in order for it to survive in a particular ecological niche. There Bacteria A took more advantage in order to suppress bacteria B for it to survive. So bacteria B had to die, in order for A to survive.
