A) Hydrolases. Digestion is a splitting of nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids) to the small molecules (monosaccharides, aminoacids and fatty acids, respectively). Enzymes that perform splitting belong to class hydrolases, and are called glycoside hydrolases, peptidases and lipases.
