All plants are growing in the environment possessing certain conditions including temperature, soil characteristics, salt concentrations, etc. However, these conditions may change with time. For example, climate changes lead to the alterations of temperature regimens, soil conditions are impaired by insufficient water supply, whereas salt concentration is affected by excessive water streams. But plants cannot move from the changing environment. Even although the harsh environment is not suitable for plants, they must survive. As a result, the continuous changes in environmental conditions initiated the efficient evolution of plants making them adapted to various conditions. For plants, adaptations to specific environmental conditions are the only way to survive.
