i. Type –one cells (typified by those in the Sino atrial node)
They are located in the upper wall of the right atrium and the opening of the superior vena cava. These cells have the ability to spontaneous generate an electrical impulse.
They are pacemaker cells .
ii. Type-two cells (typified by those in the ventricular endocardium)
The cells are the innermost layer of tissue that lines the chambers of the heart.
The cells provides protection to the valves and heart chambers.
iii. Type –three cells (typified by those that comprise the bulk of the heart)
The cells works to keep your heart pumping through involuntary movements.
They control the contractions of the heart.
