Question #154292

Explain why hormones are only able to affect certain cells and not other cells

Expert's answer

Hormones are organisms that are transported in blood or sap fluids to stimulate cells into action. A particular cell is a target for a hormone, so hormones target those cells that only have functional receptors for that particular hormone. Cells that do not have that certain receptor cannot be affected directly by that hormone.
